100 Core Health Indicators

The WHO Department of Information, Evidence and Research (IER) develops standards and guidelines for health information systems. This includes standard indicators, dashboards, data quality frameworks, facility assessments (i.e. SARA) and others. As part of its mission, the department publishes statistics and indicator definitions, of specific interest, the 100 Core Health Indicators, developed with partner agencies.

The eSHIFT Partner Network provided technical support to WHO IER in the packaging and online publication of the 100 Core Health Indicators for 2018, and provided hosting and operational support for the IMR, implemented using the Aristotle metadata registry platform. This platform is a pre-existing open-source system originally developed for the Australian Ministry of Health to implement Meteor, their national concept and indicator dictionary.
